This week’s post on Sunday was about How To Pick The Right Cologne, so I thought it was only fitting for this week’s Quick Tip Tuesday to be about how to wear that cologne that you just bought.
The first thing you need to know is too little is better than too much. When you step into the elevator, you don’t want to suffocate the person next to you…
Next, do not spray it too close to your body. It should mist onto you, not squirt. It’s acceptable to spray it and walk through the “cloud.” It may seem silly or ridiculous, but it’s a good way to make sure you don’t use too much.
Tip: Don’t rub in cologne. It will dissipate faster because you are heating it up.
The last thing to consider to where to spray your cologne. The base of your neck/chest is the most popular and is a good place. Other more strategic places are a dab behind each ear for when someone leans in close, or a dab on the inside of each wrist.
“Dousing your body in fragrance could actually do more harm than good for your sultry personal appearance. The goal here is to apply the appropriate amount of cologne without driving friends, family, strangers or potential love interests away. And, let’s be honest, it’s that last one that matters most.” – Of Iron And Oak
